Do you really understand what they meant to say? Or, have you already interpreted their meaning, even before they have finished speaking?
Two thoughts come to my mind right now. One is something I have read that pokes fun at the English and the Americans … "two peoples, divided by a common language." Clear communication is important to sharing and gaining a clear understanding. If the message you hear can be interpreted in different ways, it is important that you ask questions to clarify it.
Critical thinking is an awareness and understanding of yourself; how you think, how you react, and how you believe.
When considering the various thinking modes that you may have previously heard about, Quantum Thinking most likely does not come to mind.
Emotional thinking considers the many facets of human emotion that contribute to the ways in which we communicate, make decisions, solve problems and generally "do" life.
Critical Thinking is an encompassing domain of thinking types that you access and use during your reflective investigation of an issue.
