A Fast Way to Extract from Word

A Fast Way to Extract from Word

I use AuthorTec Extract Objects to do some quick and dirty pulling of things from one document to another.

Either creating a new doc with custom-marked excerpts from the source, or moving/copying full groups of things to another open document.

With AuthorTec Extract Objects you can extract just about anything. To either a new Word document or into an existing one.

Here is a common use scenario for me:

As I'm developing instructor and participant guides, I will add Smart Art to illustrate workflow and process or progress, etc. When the project is done, or when I need to pull the content into another deliverable, I'll use Extract Objects to grab all of the Smart Art and pull it into a reference. I can move them from the Word doc into PowerPoint or share them with teammates, etc.

AuthorTec Extract Objects is a Word add-in that copies & pastes multiple selected items from one document to another.

AuthorTec Extract Objects is free. Instructions on how to use it are built in, and available on the Great Circle Learning website under the Help tab.
